Many of you know that I have been temping as an Administrative Assistant for a non-profit with the promise of helping to plan their conferences/events. This seemed like a good opportunity, but the job has been much heavier on the filing, answering phones, and copying than any kind of event planning. Needless to say, I am bored every day at work, trying my hardest to look busy. I am working in a Communications department that ironically does not communicate. I have met a few nice people here, but for the most part there are some crazies.
As of this Friday I will no longer be a temp!!! I got a job at a meeting planner company. I am super excited! The only downside is that I am going to have to commute for an hour and a half every day because of traffic. The upside to this is that Jeremy and I are planning to move once our lease is up, so I just have to stick it out for a while.
I am so glad that this job opportunity came up when it did. I was ready to walk out of my temping job the other day. I just can’t stand to be bored and the worst part was my supervisor. She would roll her eyes and talk down to me pretty frequently. Yeah…I have some stories about that lady. She is a piece of work!
Anyways, my last day at the temping place is Friday!!! TGIF for reals!!
